LAMP 03 uses the vocabulary of the original Cylinders series of sculptures to create an enclosed volume for a single, clear 100 watt bulb.  The resin-coated ½” birch fin-ply stakes rotate on 8 axes opening at the middle and closing at the top and bottom to a perfect 2” octagon.  The light contained within expresses this precise geometry through various opacities and openings transforming this LAMP 03 into a hanging light sculpture.
