As part of a major renovation project at the Palm Springs Art Museum, The Art Office was hired to convert the former kids space, known as Zone 101, into a new, modern "art lounge" able to be used by all ages visiting the museum. Additionally, Zone 101 needed to be able to be used for art making for educational programs and for adult poetry reading events. A 12' high backlit undulating wall of images from the museum's collection encircles the space, while large-scale orange and green boxes create art-making and reading zones. Freestanding interactive pods allow continued discovery of the museum's impressive collection and changing exhibitions.
